Vodafone Italia partners with Hevolus Innovation for a new museum experience

Verona, October 5, 2022 – Vodafone Italia is the technology partner of Eataly Art House (E.ART.H.) and designed the 5G network covering the exhibition area of ​​Verona's historic Specialized Refrigeration Station because when technology meets art, a new way of experiencing it is born: unique, accessible, inclusive, and sustainable.

On the occasion of Ibrahim Mahama's Italian solo exhibition of contemporary art, titled ree Voli-ni, curated by Eva Brioschi and hosted in Verona by E.ART.H. from October 5, 2022, to January 29, 2023, the combination of exhibition design and augmented reality technologies will enrich visitors' journey. Visitors will be able to admire physically exhibited works and installations, and access holographic content in video and photographic format, to better understand and appreciate the Ghanaian artist's research, the social impact of many of his projects, and discover a new three-dimensional holographic installation.

Fully inclusive, the metaverse experience is presented by an on-site guide with a Microsoft HoloLens 2, in immersive mode, and viewed in webXR by visitors on portable devices provided at the entrance. At the end of the exhibition, two QR codes will enhance the emotional impact of the visit. The first QR code is a memento of the visit: by scanning it with a smartphone, visitors can view the digital twin of the artist's unreleased holographic installation and virtually position it anywhere they like. The second QR code will allow visitors to continue the metaverse experience at home and share it with friends and family; visitors can access the artist's metaverse with their avatar for a firsthand, unprecedented look at Mahama's work and the projects he is developing in his hometown of Tamale.
